Our Story

Located just off the slopes of Granite Peak, Wausau Manor Health Services provides long and short-term care to seniors in the Wausau and surrounding community. With passionate caregivers who are dedicated to creating a safe and engaging environment for our residents, we are The Right Choice for the next step in you or your loved one’s healthcare journey.

We are located on the bluff above Aspirus Wausau Hospital and are proud to be an Aspirus affiliate. We are very involved with Honor Flight Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring American veterans.

Our therapy department offers both inpatient and outpatient services, including a separate entrance for outpatient users. At Wausau Manor, our therapists offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy with several of them being members of AOTA, APTA, and ASHA. Our energetic and knowledgeable team has over 55 combined years’ experience, and always are looking at new ideas and interventions that offer a multitude of treatment options. With specialty equipment and treatments like NuStep, ultrasound, electrical stim, and an ADL kitchen area, our therapy department is proud to offer resident-centered treatment for positive, successful outcomes.

We were awarded a 2020 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The Award Program has three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. This award recognizes our commitment to the pursuit of quality and our focus on developing systems and protocols that meet our residents’ needs and provide consistent quality care.
